| Nice stringer of Crappie! |
Welcome to Mike's Crappie & Bass Fishing Guide Service. I fish for bass
& crappie. I am a member of the B.A.S.S. & a lifetime member of The American Crappie Assoc. We are located
in Lubbock, Texas and guide at Lake Alan Henry. Lake Alan Henry is 65 miles southeast of Lubbock, Texas. Lake
Alan Henry is a reservoir, built by the City of Lubbock, and provides an outstanding recreational area for all!
On the South Fork of the Double Mountain Fork of the Brazos River, the lake extends 11 miles between the rocky sides of
the river channel and has 56 miles of shoreline. Lake Alan Henry is operated by the City of Lubbock, Texas Parks and
Recreational Department. Lake Alan Henry is fast becoming known as one of the premier fishing lakes in the State of
Texas for largemouth bass.
The lake was stocked with fish in 1993 and
1994, as soon as the dam was completed and the lake began to fill. Lake Alan Henry was stocked with close to a million
fingerlings of smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, white and black crappie, channel catfish, bluecatfish, bluegills and gizzard
shad. Several hundred specimans of largemouth bass and channel catfish were stocked as well.
A Texas State fishing
license is required in order to fish at Lake Alan Henry. For information on current fishing regulations contact Texas Parks
& Wildlife at 806-655-4341.
